These earrings, inscribed with the Greek phrase "ΤΗ ΚΑΛΗ" , meaning "to the beautiful one," date to approximately the 4th century AD, from the Imperial Roman period. Crafted from gold and adorned with finely carved sardonyx. Collection: Museum of Fine Arts Boston.
