A gold Angel coin from the reign of Henry VIII was part of a big horde found in the garden of house in the New Forest, Hampshire in 2020. Sixty-nine gold and one silver coins were found: four kings, two queens and one cardinal across five denominations dating from the early Tudor period.

Parts of a hoard found in Tydal, Norway in 1878, dating c. 1080-1093. 2,253 silver coins were found, as well as a few other silver pieces. Most coins date to the reign of King Olaf III "the Peaceful", as well as a few for his father King Harald III "Hardrada" and some foreign coins.

These 3rd century CE medallions were found by chance in Egypt in 1902 and formed part of a hoard of 20 medallions, 600 gold coins and 20 stamped gold ingots. The medallions were commissioned to honor Emperor Caracalla, representing him as the descendant of Alexander the Great
