These 4th century CE jewelry—2 bracelets, one solid gold, the other dark glass—were found in the sarcophagus of a 6-year-old girl in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Around her neck lay a simple necklace of gold rings and glass beads, and on one finger she wore a gold ring with a green stone

An approximately 40-year-old man was buried in the tomb M16 at Majiayuan cemetery in Gansu, China. Among the grave goods found with the owner of the tomb, there were 3 luxurious belts, an arm bracelet, and 2 large semi-circular necklaces, one gold and one silver. 4th-3rd century BCE

A remarkably well-preserved Roman sarcophagus has been discovered in Budapest. The sarcophagus was found with its stone lid still fixed in place, secured by metal clamps and molten lead. When archaeologists lifted the lid, they found a complete skeleton surrounded by dozens of artifacts.

The royal necropolis of Ayaa was a group of two hypogea housing a total of 21 sarcophagi of kings and nobles of the Phoenician city of Sidon in Lebanon. The sarcophagi were highly diverse in style, ranging across Egyptian, Greek, Lycian and Phoenician styles. 6th-4th century BCE

This bronze pin with amber and glass beads was found on the edge of the Uechter Moor, a bog in Lower Saxony, Germany. Elaborate jewellery was often deposited in lakes or bogs as an offering to the gods in the Iron Age. The pin dates to the 6th-4th BCE. On display at Landesmuseum Hannover
