The pulpit in the pieve of Sant'Andrea, Italy, is a masterpiece by Giovanni Pisano, completed in 1301 CE. Along with the pulpit in the Pisa Baptistery from 1260 and the Siena Cathedral Pulpit from 1268, these very advanced works are often described in terms such as "proto-Renaissance"
