At least 1400 years old statue of Budhanilkantha in Nepal. Worshipped by Hindus as Vishnu and by Buddhists as Avalokiteshvara. The statue stands 5 meters tall and is positioned in the middle of a recessed pool of water, which is 13 meters long.

A Roman marble head dated around 1st-2nd Century AD has been discovered by Greg Crawley, a construction worker driver while undertaking renovation works in Peterborough. Its bust was also discovered close to the site of the original find and were reassembled.

The Golden Buddha statue in Thailand, weighting 5.5 tons. At one point in its history, the statue was covered with a layer of stucco to conceal its true value. During relocation of the statue in 1955, the plaster was chipped off and the beautiful shining gold revealed. 13th-15th cent. CE
