The 1st century CE al-Diwan is a square chamber containing 3 stone benches that served as a triclinium for sacred feasts. Carved by the Nabataeans into a hillside to shield it from the wind, it's one of the few extant examples of nonfunerary architecture in Madain Saleh, Saudi Arabia
