"The Devil's Corkscrews". The fossilized tunnels of an ancient beaver, Palaeocastor, now extinct, which existed during the late Oligocene period to early Miocene, approximately 29 to 18 million years ago, and dug spiral-shaped tunnels underground to avoid predators and severe weather.
