The Abydos boats are the remnants of ancient Egyptian ceremonial wooden boats found in brick-lined boat graves, in Abydos, with their prows pointed towards the Nile. They were probably made for the afterlife journeys of the Pharaoh Hor-Aha or Pharaoh Djer
